Cosmic phenomena and related species grows out from the deconstruction and reconstruction of the human body. Photographs of human biological organisms (friends and self) are altered and recombined. This series is inspired by evolutionary processes, phylogenesis, biology. Analog and digital intertwine to create hybrids and fictitious species, mutating specimens, mapping imaginary anatomies. The historicity of each piece mimics speciation in natural selection: several new bodies of work branch off from one common ancestor to eventually give rise to their own distinct line.

The original images are constantly being reused and recycled, shifting shapes. Different classes of organisms appear via digital transformation, born from the metamorphosis of the human body and its technological mutations, they become an intuitive ontology of the species, an inventory of modified life forms.
